The Portal was established in 2009 under the direction of the ISPF by Manuela Sanna. Editor of the Portal is Leonardo Pica Ciamarra. Technical support by Ruggero Cerino. The website is hosted by the web server of the IMM CNR in Rome. The project "Biblioteca vichiana" (ROP-ERDF Campania 2007-2013) has allowed a major enhancement of the website, to which collaborated over time Gianluca Cerino, Roberto Evangelista, Carla Romanelli, Assunta Sansone.
